Ulule is the established European option and supports far more languages than we do. CoFunders is cheaper on larger pledges and puts the refund in a contract rather than a policy.

What they do better
- European reach and a long track record on this continent, which is the ground we are trying to occupy.
- Many more languages. We currently serve English and Portuguese; Ulule serves most of Europe.
- A coaching and support model for creators that we do not match.
What we do differently
- Fees on larger pledges. 1.5% plus $0.99 per pledge on the free plan, falling to 0.5% on the top plan, against roughly 8% all-in.
- Ulule moved part of its fee onto contributors in 2025. Ours is charged to the campaign, so a backer paying $50 pledges $50.
- The escrow and the refund rule are both public and machine-readable.
Where we are the worse choice
- Language coverage, plainly. If your backers are French, German or Spanish, Ulule serves them and we do not.
- Our flat $0.99 means small pledges cost proportionally more here. At the $10 minimum a backer pays 11.4% — worse than Kickstarter's roughly 5.5% on a pledge that size. We become cheaper at around $30 and much cheaper above $100, where we take 2.49% against their 8–10%.
- Ulule's editorial curation gives good projects visibility. We have nothing comparable yet.
Which to pick
Pick Ulule if your audience spans several European languages or you want editorial support. Pick CoFunders if your backers read English or Portuguese and you care more about what the fee is and where the money sits.
