Legal documents

The terms, policies and disclosures that govern your use of CoFunders. Plain language where possible, because nobody reads what nobody can understand.

Terms of service

By using CoFunders you agree to these terms. CoFunders is a reward crowdfunding platform: you back a project so it gets built, and in return you may receive the product or perk the creator offers. You are not buying shares, equity or any right to profit.

Pledges are held by a program on a public network until the campaign reaches its goal. If the campaign succeeds, the funds go to the creator. If the campaign fails, you reclaim your escrowed pledge; fees paid at pledge time are not returned. Once released to the creator, funds cannot be returned by the platform.

Privacy policy

We collect the minimum data needed to run the platform: your email address, your wallet address, and your transaction history on CoFunders. We do not sell your data, we do not share it with advertisers, and we do not track you across the web.

Campaign data and pledge amounts are recorded on a public network and are visible to anyone. This is by design — it is what makes the platform transparent.

Cookies

CoFunders uses only essential cookies required for the platform to function: authentication and session management. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies or analytics that identify individual users.

Limitation of liability

CoFunders is a platform, not a shop. We facilitate the connection between creators and backers but we do not manufacture, ship or guarantee any reward. The creator is solely responsible for delivering what they promised.

We are not liable for losses arising from a creator's failure to deliver, from fluctuations in cryptocurrency value, or from events outside our reasonable control.
