Crowdfunding for crypto natives, onchain from pledge to payout
Bring your own USDC. Every pledge sits in an escrow program on Solana that anyone can read, payouts land in a wallet whose key you can export, and whoever shares a campaign is paid by the program in the same transaction.
Key facts
- Network: Solana mainnet. Currency: USDC.
- Pledges wait in an onchain escrow until the deadline. Anyone can check it.
- Your account's wallet is yours: export the key and use it in any Solana wallet.
- Minimal KYC: an email to start, no ID from us.
- Sharers earn up to 18.5% of each pledge they bring, paid by the program.
- Reward crowdfunding only: no token sales, no returns.
Why crowdfund onchain?
Because nobody has to take our word for where the money is: every campaign's escrow is public on Solana. The escrow checker reads any campaign's escrow straight from the chain.
Your pledge sits in an escrow account the program controls, not in a CoFunders account. Under the program's rules, only the creator can claim a campaign's funds once it reaches its goal, and only you can take your pledge back if it misses. The program can still be upgraded, and today one key we hold can upgrade it (see /security).
Who holds the keys?
You hold your account's key: export it from your profile and use the same address in any Solana wallet, without the app. The program decides who can move a campaign's funds. Who can upgrade the program, and what that could change, is on security.
How do you fund an account with crypto?
Send USDC on Solana from any wallet or exchange to your account's address. A direct transfer in costs nothing from us, and you never need a gas token: the network fee comes out of your USDC in the same transaction. How crypto crowdfunding on Solana works here walks through every step and what to check.
Do you need to verify your identity?
Not with us. An email or a Google account is enough to start, back or raise. Identity checks happen only if you pay by card or sell for your local currency inside the app, on a licensed partner's screen. Can you crowdfund anonymously? covers what stays private and what is public onchain.
What can a crypto community fund here?
Anything with a reward backers want: a meetup or a hackathon, merch, an open source release, an audit, a documentary about your community. Backers get the reward, never a token, a share or a promise of returns. Everything you can fund has a guide for each kind of project.
What does it cost?
Opening a campaign costs $5 on the free plan. Each pledge pays 1.5% plus a flat $0.99.
The percentage fee on a pledge follows the plan of the account making it. It's taken when the pledge is made, so it isn't returned if the campaign misses its goal. Paid plans aren't on sale today, so the published fee is the free plan's fee.
How do you start?
- Sign up with email or Google. Your Solana address comes with the account.
- Send USDC on Solana to it, or launch a campaign first.
- Back a project, or publish yours and share the link.
